The Six Step National Design Process
Getting the design right in a new project is crucial to its success. At Pasquill, we have a six-step national design process which is proven to provide accurate solutions to our customers across varying projects.
Here we are going to outline the process, and show you what you can expect when you choose to work with our expert designers.
Step one: Enquiry received
Once the Design Centre receives your enquiry, it is processed by the Admin Team for booking onto our business management software system within 24 hours of receipt and allocated to your local Design Centre Manager. You will receive an acknowledgement email, which includes the date when we will forward your quote based on the information you’ve provided.
All drawings and emails associated with the enquiry are saved into our system for reference. This ensures we have access to your enquiry information throughout the process.
Step two: Enquiry review
Within 24 hours, the Design Office Manager will review the details sent in and check the project specification to ensure the Pasquill products are suitable. If your project requires more products that aren’t indicated within the drawings, and have therefore not been requested, our Admin team will call you to discuss them.
It’s important that our design teams have all the correct information during the quoting stage to ensure that you receive an accurate quote, and that there are no surprises further down the line.

- Fully dimensioned drawings
- Section drawings
- Elevations
- Stairwell sizes
- Floor and Roof Loadings
- Site plan
- Ancillary package
- Build Programme
Step three: Pre-design phone call
We pride ourselves on providing the best possible service for our customers. By carrying out a pre-design phone call, we’re able to directly discuss with you any alternative solutions which would result in a cost saving, or which offers an installation benefit.
This call is your opportunity to speak with our designers to ensure you are both on the same page about what you’re looking for in your project.
Step four: Designer creates quotation
After the pre-design phone call, your project will be scheduled for design. The Designer will recreate your individual project within our advanced 3D software to come up with the best possible structural solution for your project. Once the design stage is complete, we move on to create your detailed quotation.
Step five: Post design call
Within 48 hours of receiving your design and quote, our team will call you for feedback. At this point, you can ask questions about the details you have received, and your designer can implement any changes into the design.
Once we have received your feedback, the designer will advise your local Business Development Manager when the quote will be reviewed. This is also added to their calendar to ensure that no deadlines are missed throughout the process.
Step six: Post delivery call
A Site Support Representative will be in contact to gain feedback from your site and report this back to the designer and Business Development Manager. They may also discuss any future projects, to see how Pasquill can support them.
