Pasquill’s Parent Group Celebrates
PASQUILL’S PARENT GROUP CELEBRATES 350 YEARS OF INNOVATION
Saint-Gobain, the world leader in sustainable habitat and construction markets, is marking its 350th anniversary with a series of events and activities to celebrate its history and confidence in the future. As one of the group of companies in the Saint-Gobain group, Pasquill is proud to be sharing this milestone with its customers and business partners.
Saint-Gobain’s celebrations have begun with four interactive, futuristic pavilions travelling around the world, giving an insight into the company’s 350 reasons to believe in the future. As well as the launch of a new, rebranded website, an online game is made available to download and play on all smart devices.
In the UK, a number of initiatives will bring to life Saint-Gobain’s contribution to key issues such as the importance of skills to the industry, the need to attract younger people to it, and the importance of improving the UK’s existing building stock.
As one of the oldest companies in the world, Saint-Gobain’s history dates back to 1665, when it was formed to produce glass on an industrial scale for the famous Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles, the royal palace of King Louis XIV of France. Recognised for ingenuity, the leader in sustainable habitat now has a presence in over 64 countries. Saint-Gobain in the UK and Ireland employs over 17,000 employees across 1,000 sites.
Saint-Gobain’s 350th anniversary comes at a time of expansion for Pasquill. Following a six figure investment in operations last year, Pasquill’s growth plans continue into 2015 with financing earmarked for staff training, equipment and infrastructure, all of which will improve the trading experience for our customers.
Ross Baxter, Pasquill’s General Manager, said: “Saint-Gobain’s 350th anniversary is an important milestone in its history, and is testament to the organisation’s pioneering, innovative vision. We are proud to be part of Saint-Gobain and are looking forward to celebrating the special anniversary throughout 2015.”
