WATCH PASQUILL’S SAFE LOADING ADVICE
With nearly 40 fatalities recorded in the construction industry each year, Pasquill has unveiled its latest health and safety video, designed to improve the safety of all Saint-Gobain employees, customers, contractors and suppliers.
The ‘Safe Loading’ video, which is now available to watch on the Pasquill YouTube channel forms part of the group’s Target Zero health and safety policy and offers best practice advice for the safe loading and unloading of roof trusses.
Commenting on the latest video from Pasquill, Philip Pointon – EHS & Sustainability Manager said:“Construction remains the second most dangerous industry to work in and here at Pasquill we take health and safety very seriously. The sense of responsibility for our customers does not end at supplying fit for purpose products but more rather providing advice and support on some of the key industry-wide issues they are facing.
“Roof Trusses can weigh over 100kg each and when banded together a pack could weigh more than 1 tonne, so its important to educate staff on the correct handling of what is potentially quite a dangerous load. Our latest video demonstrates the correct loading procedure and offers practical advice for the safe loading and unloading of Pasquill roof trusses.”
