Pasquill helps build an outdoor classroom at Tarradale Primary School
At Pasquill, we are dedicated to making the world a better home. That’s why we’re proud to have had the opportunity to work with Tarradale Primary School to help them build an outdoor classroom to enhance learning for all students.
With the challenges posed by the pandemic, the school found it difficult to teach in its existing environment and was looking for a cost-effective solution to increase productivity and comfort.
Through Pasquill’s charity initiative “Helping Hands” scheme, we were able to help the school by providing building materials to build a covered outdoor learning area. The new learning area is intended to provide a safe and spacious place for all students and teachers.
The donation of £1000 provided the necessary materials for the build including our Roof Trusses. Roof Trusses are bespoke to each project and provide a cost-effective solution for the creation of roof structures. With high standards and reduced lead times, these were the perfect choice for this build.
This new outdoor classroom will benefit not only the students at Tarradale School but also the local community who will also have access to the outdoor classroom during school sports day and other open days.
Timber is proven to have a calming effect on people in environments that can be stressful, such as schools or work. That’s why this outdoor learning area will be perfect for helping these students feel calm and focus on learning.
We believe that making small changes can make a big impact on the world around us. We’re committed to helping our customers and their communities to create beautiful, sustainable spaces that promote growth and wellness.
Donald Matheson, who worked on the gazebo, said, “We are really proud of the work we’ve done at Tarradale School. It feels great to be able to use our expertise and products to help a local school create a better learning environment for its pupils, something that’s a perfect example of why we set up our charity initiative. The whole project ran smoothly with the result being a great success.”
The school expressed their gratitude, saying, “I hope you have managed to see our spectacular outdoor classroom. It’s just exactly what we wanted, and we are delighted with it. I’d also like to extend a huge thank you to you and your team for helping us with it.”
