High priority
At Pasquill, safety is a given, not a ‘nice-to-have’ and extends across our entire business, from our valued customers, to our suppliers and partners, to our own employees.
To ensure the highest standards of roof truss health and safety, we have rigorous standards in place to maintain compliance at our manufacturing facilities, as well as when our product reaches the construction site.
This includes membership of the SAFE contractor scheme, providing reassurance for our customers that we adhere to best practice, as well as the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) voluntary accreditation. This encompasses all aspects of safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations.
Health and safety compliance is also a team effort, and we are proud of our excellent accident record across all our off-site manufacturing plants. Any accident or near miss is investigated and practices are changed to encourage a safe and healthy working environment.
Other ways we are maintaining rigorous roof truss health and safety standards include:
- Our library of fact sheets, which provide guidance on the safe unloading of roof trusses, beams, floors and cassettes in different circumstances
- Advising customers of their obligations under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
