Save construction time
What is a spandrel panel?
A spandrel panel, is a factory produced prefabricated panel used as a dividing wall or in place of a traditional gable block wall, which is manufactured off-site to save construction time on-site.
Spandrel panels can also help improve safety onsite, as they require less time working at height.
Additionally traditional brick and block gable ends and party walls are open to the elements during construction and curing and therefore cannot be erected during certain weather conditions.

FAQs
Spandrel panels are used in roof construction to separate spaces under the roof, or to be used as the gable end of a roof. They are used as a quicker, simpler solution to replace traditional blockwork walls in the roof.
Gable wall spandrel panels are an off-site manufactured product, put together in quality-assured factory conditions before being delivered direct to site. They provide an alternative to the inner leaf of an exterior masonry wall at the gable end of a building and must be designed to comply with robust structural and thermal requirements and in some circumstances fire resistance performance standards too.
Party wall spandrel panels are an off-site manufactured product, put together in quality-assured factory conditions before being delivered direct to site. They provide an alternative to a masonry wall in the cold roof space between adjoining properties. They must be designed to provide fire resistance and acoustic insulation between the properties.
Robust Details® is a scheme set up in 2003 to ensure adequate sound insulation within new homes and therefore meet building regulation requirements.
Our party wall spandrel panels are constructed to Robust Details® and subject to being part of an approved party wall construction alleviates the requirement for pre-completion sound testing.
